DEPARTMENT OF INORMATION TECHNOLOGY

It offers B.Tech (Information Technology) with a yearly intake of sixty students. The department of Information Technology offers engineering programme at the undergraduate level. The course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of Information Technology with emphasis on applications together with a judicious blend of technical skills. The department emphasis the use of learning tools for the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Role-play, case study, project work, practical exposure, assignments, quiz, seminars, industry visits are some of the methods used for teaching learning process. The curriculum provides, not only provides technical knowledge but also the exposure to recent technologies. To impart good quality engineering education, the department focuses on development of practical and application oriented minds. It is our attempt to make students learn by doing rather than by simply learning of topics and subjects.

COMPUTER CENTER

It is a general observation that students at the entry level of undergraduate programs. It provide practical exposure and on-hand working environment to such students, The computer Center has over 90 computer made available in central air conditioned laboratory of the college building. They are fully networked with branded HP (I3) systems and servers with one Laser Printer. High internet speed of 15 Mbps, broadband internet connectivity has been provided in main computer center with at least one faculty and technical staff to guide them.

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The most widely known branch of the engineering world, The Mechanical Engineering Branch. The branch which is known for its valuable contribution in the history and the nation’s economy and growth. The Mechanical Engineering Department of REC, Banda is fully equipped to meet the requirements of B.Tech (Mech) course. It has highly qualified and experienced faculty, most of those are product of engineering college of very high repute such as IIT, NIT and other reputed engineering institutes.

To be recognized as pioneer department of Mechanical Engineering Education in the state of Uttar Pradesh for providing valuable resources for industry and society by 2030.

APPLIED SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities is continuing from the date of its inception with a mission of imparting teaching and promoting implementation of practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities to build a solid foundation as part of the Engineering Education. The department teaches the subjects of Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics and Environment etc. in the B. Tech. programs. There are 7 well qualified and experienced faculty members whose services are available to the department

OBJECTIVE

A strong high-rise building can be built only on a strong foundation, which signifies the importance of the Department of Applied Sciences. The important objective of the Department is to prepare and train the first year B. Tech students in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Communication skills with an applied approach.

The Department is carrying a mission to create and disseminate knowledge and tools in intellectual areas at the interfaces between areas of engineering and other core areas of Applied Sciences and Humanities.

Department have following Laboratory

Physics Laboratory Department has well equipped Physics laboratory for B.Tech students. The Physics experiments are performed by the students in one semester. The experiments based mainly upon Optics, Electricity, Magnetism, Modern Physics and Solid State Physics which are the parts of theory syllabus. Students will be required to perform at least 12 out of 15 experiments in one semester according to UPTU curriculum.


Chemistry Laboratory The chemistry laboratory provides the opportunities to the students to learn the practical concepts of Chemistry. The Chemistry experiments are performed by the students in one semester. The experiments based mainly upon organic and inorganic chemistry which are the parts of theory syllabus. Students will be required to perform at least 8 out of 10 experiments in one semester according to UPTU curriculum.
